wayto.tech is a job board for AI specialists. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the site, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. It applies to wayto.tech only.

1. Data controller

2. What we collect

If you join the pre-launch list

  • Email address (required)
  • First and last name (optional)
  • LinkedIn profile URL (optional)
  • A record of your consent: the exact wording you agreed to, its version, the date and time, and the IP address the signup came from. We store this so we can demonstrate that consent was given, as GDPR requires.

If you post a job listing

  • Your contact email address
  • The company name, website, logo and description you enter, and the content of the listing itself
  • The IP address the submission came from

Posting is anonymous: no account is created. Anything you type into a listing is published on the site once approved, so please do not include personal data you do not want to be public.

Automatically

  • Technical data needed to serve the site and prevent abuse, including IP address and standard server logs
  • Usage statistics, such as how many times a listing was viewed or its apply button was clicked. These counters are aggregate and are not linked to you.
  • Analytics data via Google Firebase Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies (see section 9)

We do not collect job applications. Every listing links out to the employer's own site, so when you apply you leave wayto.tech and the employer's privacy policy takes over from that point.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To email you about the launch and new roles — on the basis of your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • To publish and moderate job listings — to take steps at your request and to provide the service, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and our legitimate interest in a board that is worth reading, Art. 6(1)(f).
  • To keep the site working and prevent spam and abuse — our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This is why we log the IP address a submission came from and rate-limit requests.
  • To prove that consent was given — to comply with our obligations as controller, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
  • To understand how the site is used — on the basis of your consent to analytics cookies, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

4. How long we keep it

  • Pre-launch signups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, and in any case no longer than 3 years after your last interaction with our emails.
  • Consent records: kept for as long as we rely on the consent, and for a limited period afterwards so we can show it was validly obtained.
  • Job listings: published listings expire 30 days after approval. Listing and poster data is kept for up to 12 months after expiry so we can handle disputes and repeat submissions.
  • Server logs: typically a few weeks, then deleted or anonymised.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with recruiters or advertisers. We do use service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions only:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Our email delivery provider, for the messages you asked to receive
  • Google Firebase Analytics, where you have consented to analytics
  • Error-monitoring services used to keep the site running

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data erased
  • restrict or object to how we process it
  • receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that already happened while the consent was valid

To exercise any of these, email hello@waytohire.ai. We respond within one month.

7. Unsubscribing

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@waytohire.ai and we will remove you from the list. Unsubscribing stops the emails; tell us if you also want your record deleted entirely.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to stored data is restricted to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

9. Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies strictly necessary to serve the site, plus analytics cookies where you have agreed to them. When analytics is enabled, a consent banner lets you accept or decline before any non-essential cookie is set, and you can change your choice at any time through that banner.

10. Children

wayto.tech is intended for people in or entering professional employment and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

11. Complaints

If you think we have handled your data incorrectly, please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
